their standard portraits and designs – this is something completely different and far more

impressive ancient coinage masterpieces. This is an AUTHENTIC COPY REPLICA of medallions
which the Roman Empire awarded at the games and contests held in the cities of Macedonia, in
honor of Alexander the Great and his father Philip of Macedon in 230 AD.
The original coin was made in gold and is property of Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge – these is an

Obverse: Helmeted goddess Athena Nikephoros
Reverse: AΛEXANΔPOC. Alexander the Great on his horse Buchephalus in heroic pose brandishing a
spear to the lion beneath.
