Cast Stone Sculptures

How are your products different from the other sculpture shops?

We do not import products at very cheep price from China, India, or Taiwan (as most sculpture shops
do) and then try to sell them to the North American customer several times higher what was paid for.  
We do not import products (as most sculpture shops do) made of inexpensive plaster that give cheep
and kitsch look and feel to the product as soon it is touched and lifted like a feather.  Instead, we
produce our own sculptures in our own shop and use high quality materials so that the final product has
a rich look and feel.

What are your products made of?

Our products are first hand-carved in clay or wood and then made from cast stone and hand finished
with antique finish to give them ancient appearance.  Cast stone is a type of gypsum cement whose
properties are much different from plaster of paris which is what most sculpture shops use.  Unlike
plaster, which is soft, light and weak, cast stone is hard, heavy and strong.  Cast stone feels like, and is
heavy like a real stone would be, which can be experienced as soon you try to lift it.

What kind of color do you apply to the finished product?

We do not use paint color as brushing technique on our products, but are aging them with a rusting
technique.  Naturally, because each piece is hand finished, there will be slight variations in the resulting
antique finish.  Thus no two products are identical and each piece we produce is unique in itself.

Can I order a unique design?

Yes you can. We require that you provide us with detailed explanation of what is that you want
constructed and we will then take all the work in our own studio and workshop. We will provide you with
a lead time it would be required to complete your custom order and the cost associated with it s
production.

Can I order a unique finish?

All our products are hand-finished in antique stone finish, however, if your prefer other finish, let us
know. Custom finishes, such as antique bronze, antique silver, and antique gold, are available on many
of our products, although these will incur additional costs. Please email or telephone your requirements
and we will be happy to give you a quotation. Please note that custom finished products are
non-returnable unless faulty.

How do I place an order?

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse through our on-line Shop, click on any items that
you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on
"Go to Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy your
requirements. Orders can be placed via our SECURE online shopping cart or by
contacting us.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept VISA, Master Card, American Express, Discover, Paypal, Diners Card, and JCB.

Is your shopping cart SECURE?




Yes, your information is secure during the ordering process with a Secure Server Certification Authority.
VeriSign SSL Certificate protects e-commerce and other private information with 128-bit encryption, the
strongest SSL protection available anywhere. Statistically, it is safer to shop online with your credit card
than in a restaurant or department store. At AncientSculptureGallery.com , protecting your personal
information is extremely important to us. To ensure that you never have to worry about credit card safety
when you shop in our store, we use security software called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which is the
industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions.
When you connect with our secure server, they exchange a handshake, which initiates a secure
session. In most browsers, look for a key or lock icon to indicate that you are in the SSL mode. From that
point on during your secure session, all the information sent between you and  
AncientSculptureGallery.com is protected by SSL encryption.

How will you confirm my order?

All orders will be confirmed via email (if email address is included with the order) on the day of receipt.

Do you charge sales tax?

Appropriate state sales tax will be added to orders shipped to residents of New Jersey.

How do you package and ship your merchandise?

We are very careful about how our items are packaged and shipped. We do not want the item to break in
transit!  The merchandise is either bubblewrapped or double-boxed in order to ensure safe transit.  

In what currency are your prices?

All prices as well as shipping costs and taxes are in US Dollars.

What shipping methods do you use?

The default shipping charges are for Ground.  Our products which are heavier then 50 pounds are
shipped with
Freight because of their weight.  If you like your order shipped Express or with any specific
carrier please let us know and we will supply you with cost for that shipping and handling service.  
Please keep in mind the difference between the rates of carriers - Ground is the most economical way
to receive your package and is much less then Express Air 1-day delivery would cost you for example.
The choice is, however, ultimately yours.  

How much will shipping and handling be?

We base our shipping and handling rates on the actual weight and dimensions of the items you select
(this cost also includes the packaging).  The shopping cart will calculate the shipping amount when you
are ready to make the purchase - this applies to customers from the United States of America and
Canada
only.  For our customers outside North America the shipping and handling charge varies from
country to country.  Because of this extreme variance the shipping cart does not calculate the shipping
charges for countries outside North America and its default is $0.00.  If you live outside North America,
let us know when you want to place your order and we will calculate the shipping cost to your country.
You can then go to the shipping cart and place your order.  

How long does it take for delivery?

All the items in the on-line shop are manufactured by us, in strict rotation as orders arrive. We generally
hold stock and if the item is in stock we will dispatch it immediately.  However, some items need to be
manufactured as the orders arrive. We aim to dispatch orders within 1 week but this depends on the
number of orders we have at the time your order is received. Ground shipping usually takes between
7-14 business days.  We will send you email notification as soon as your item ships.  If you require
urgent delivery, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements. Multiple
orders may be sent in more than one package, in order to make sure your package arrives safe and
undamaged.

Do you offer expedited shipping such as Overnight or 2-Day?

We offer these services whenever possible. Given the wide variety of items available, it is best to contact
us for these special options. We will be happy to accommodate your request whenever possible and
provide a shipping price and estimated delivery date.

Do you ship to other countries besides the US?

For shipments to countries outside United States and Canada, taxes, duties, customs and brokerage
fees associated with ordering merchandise will be the responsibility of the receiver. Please contact us
for an estimated shipping cost prior to placing an order.

What happens if my item arrives damaged or is lost?

We insure all of our shipments. If you receive a damaged item, please contact us and we will make
arrangements with you for the return and replacement of the damaged item. Please contact us
immediately so that we can file a damage claim with UPS. Credit will not be issued unless you notify us
the same day you received the shipment. Please note that you will need to save the box and packing
materials for UPS to inspect. UPS insurance is void otherwise. We will not be responsible for damaged
merchandise not in its original packaging.
