Bronze cold cast of Edgar Degas' Spanish Dance
Ever fascinated by the dynamics of movement, Edgar Degas (French, 1834–1917) created two
subtly different variations of this graceful figure in wax and clay that were later cast in bronze. Our
reproduction of one version is cast using a model made from a mold taken from the original
numbered bronze casting in the Museum's collection.
