Greek Hellenistic and Roman Cameos and Intaglios
Our cameos and intaglios are excellent pieces of art and workmanship. We employ a combination of ancient
and modern gem engraving techniques and tools in producing these masterpieces. The entire smoothing
and polishing of the engraved surfaces is done with copper, bone and leather miniature wheels, charged with
diamond powder suspended in virgin olive oil. This method and tools were used for gem engraving since the
dawn of civilization and by the artists of the Greek, Hellenistic, and Roman times. All our cameos are smooth
