Custom Ancient Greek Vases

The ancient Greek vases are remarkably beautiful artifacts. They come in all different kinds of sizes and shapes, and are adorned with beautiful paintings, some of them masterpieces or ancient art, created by the greatest masters of antiquity such as Euphronios and Exekias. We carry hundreds of ancient Greek vases reproductions within our THEMES and strive to add more to our selection. However, there are so many in the museums around the world (Louvre, British Museum, Metropolitan Museum, Athens, etc) that it is impossible to reproduce them. Some 100,000 vases are recorded in the “Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum” or CVA, an international research project for ceramic documentation of the classical area (http://www.cvaonline.org/cva/projectpages/cva1.htm). CVA is the first and oldest research project of the Union Académique Internationale of France. The first project meeting was organized by Edmond Pottier in Paris in 1919. The final decision was to publish a comprehensive catalogue of ancient Greek vases. He was also the publisher of the first fascicle for the Louvre in 1922. At this time six countries were part of the project. Today the project covers a compendium of more than 100,000 vases located in collections of 26 participating countries.

The whole process is made by hand (like in ancient times) using only top quality row materials.
