Description

Beautiful Replica from an original ancient shipwreck amphora. Original shipwreck location: the sea off the coast of Italy. About our Sea Amporas: The Romans and Greeks used original amphoras as storage vessels to transport wine, oils and perfumes. We have introduced an innovative and patented method of creating replicas of ancient sunk amphoras. Each of our handcrafted pieces undergo a 3 to 5 year natural accelerated fossilization and decorative process submerged at the bottom of the Mediterranean sea bed. The marine park’s protected status allows flora and fauna to flourish, thus transforming each amphora into an entirely authentic ancient looking piece with unique and intricate characteristics. The result is an eye catching reproduction of ancient history which can be used as an original gift or ideal home, hotel, restaurant or spa decoration. The natural ageing and decorative methods the items undergo carry a patent and require detailed planning and licensing. No two amphoras are equal – each is a unique piece of art. The base metal supports are free $0 included with your purchase. The display cabinets are sold separately – let us know if you are interested.

Our vases are NOT fastly made kitsch replicas, nor are they cheaply made of substitute materials such as resin. We stick to the materials and methods used by ancient Greeks and Romans and use only top quality ceramics. Every piece is a stunning work of art, an amazing replica of an actual historic vessel created between 2,800-2,000 years ago. Every piece is individually hand thrown terracotta abd hand-shaped. The whole process is made by hand (like in ancient times) using only top quality row materials. We respectfully preserve the sensitivity and the dignity of ancient pieces while guaranteeing the quality and the curacy of all the pieces we reproduce.
