The making of a “lost wax” bronze is a complex and time-consuming process, and specific technical expertise is needed to accomplish the task of making a bronze. The most known and used process for making “lost wax” involves pouring of molten bronze. This is the same method used by the ancient civilizations to create bronze sculptures. Our lost wax bronze sculptures are produced in this same technique. Below are few examples of our completed bronze sculpture commissions to give you an idea of the quality you may expect for your custom order.

For more than 100 years, a small bronze statue gazing out to the sea has been one of top tourist attractions in Denmark's capital Copenhagen. The "Little Mermaid" by Edvard Eriksen depicts a mermaid becoming human. It is based on Hans Christian Andersen’s 1837 fairy tale of the same name. Customer wanted a bronze sculpture made of his daugther in a pose similar to this little Danish Mermaid of Copenhagen. The girl woudl be in a similar pose but to have feet vs a mermaid tail, and a bathing suit as opposed to being nude. The above pictues show the sculpting of the face of the girl and then the entire sculpture model was complered in clay. When the clay model was approved by the customer we then cast an identical copy of it in lost-wax bronze. Finaly the statue was gaven a two-tone patina. Verdigris blue is the color of the swim suit, while the rest of the sculptue is in traditional medium brown bronze.
Customer wanted a recreation of the 2nd century AD Roman bronze fountain mask of Oceanus from the villa rustica in Treuchtlingen-Schambach, which is now at the Staatliche Antikensammlungen, Munich.
