Macedonian Kingdom Coins

Macedonia or Macedon was an ancient kingdom of southeastern Europe, north of Greece, bordered by Illyria and Epirus to the west, and Thrace to the east. Philip II turned it into Europe’s most powerful nation after he conquered all its neighbors while his son Alexander the Great made it the largest world empire. The Macedonians made coins of gold, silver and bronze.
